We read The Bucko Soap Scum and Grime Cleaner bad reviews

Most people love The Bucko Soap Scum and Grime Cleaner. As of this post, we have a 4.3 star rating with 2,037 total ratings on Amazon. A sample of some of our 5 star reviews:

But, since one of our values is "humble greatness," today we're going to feature a few of our 1 star reviews for fun (kinda like "Mean Tweets" on the Jimmy Kimmel show) and to see what we can improve.

Here's one:

"Product was leaking in the bag. Can't read anything on the bottle. Very disappointing." - Lori

This review came with pictures with the bottle and the label faded. Unfortunately, sometimes during shipping the bottle gets beaten up, especially when Amazon does their famous "tiny item in big box" thing. Then the liquid leaks onto the label, which then cleans off the ink on the label. We will look into using a better bottle and shipping company. If this happens, please let us know and we'll get you a replacement.

This one is about shower doors:

"Sprayed it on my daughters shower doors that were heavily caked with soap scum. Left it on to loosen up the mess and it dried on like glue! Only left it on for 15 minutes! Tried scrubbing and scrubbing until my arms were tired. Finally used some Bar Keepers Friend for cooktops and that worked like a charm! Disappointing cleaner, wouldn’t recommend." - nealyc

A lot of our customers love The Bucko for their glass shower doors. You don't know how cloudy your glass shower door is until you clean it, then it almost looks invisible! But The Bucko won't work if the white spots on the glass need to be scraped off or if it's heavily caked. We do recommend Bar Keeper's Friend. It's one of our favorite non-Bucko products. We'll see about updating our product description to let people know before they buy.

Last one:

"I tried 3 different times to take soap scum off bottom of my shower tiles and it doesn't work!!" - Sherri

Similar to the glass shower door review from above, if the scum is really bad The Bucko may not work on it. Many times if you let it soak a bit and apply a couple times, it can take out really bad scum and grime. But unfortunately it's not perfect. It works really well for something that isn't bleach, strong acid, or harsh chemicals, but sometimes the scum or grime is too much for it.
